For community management companies

Turn resident-owned tools into a community benefit.

BorrowHive gives the communities you manage a private place for residents to find and share useful tools with one another—without your team buying inventory, staffing a checkout desk, or coordinating handoffs.

  • Private by community
  • Co-branded for residents
  • No tool inventory to manage

Simple for residents

From “does anyone have one?” to a clear return.

BorrowHive gives an informal neighbor-to-neighbor exchange enough structure to work across an entire community.

01

Find what is nearby

Residents browse tools that participating neighbors have chosen to share in their community.

02

Request the dates

The owner reviews each request. Dates, questions, and expectations stay with the listing.

03

Pick up and return

The two residents coordinate directly while BorrowHive keeps the handoff and return record organized.

Designed for the portfolio

A resident program your team can actually roll out.

Start with selected communities, keep local identity intact, and expand from what residents genuinely use.

A visible resident benefit

Add value without buying another amenity

Help residents make better use of useful equipment already sitting in garages across the communities you manage.

Built around each community

Private access with familiar branding

Launch selected communities with their own eligibility, name, support contact, and sharing visibility.

Useful portfolio insight

See adoption—not private conversations

Follow aggregate participation, listings, requests, and completed handoffs without turning resident messages into management data.

A clean operating model

Your team launches the benefit. Residents share directly.

Straight answers

What management teams usually ask.

Does our company or the association need to own tools?

No. Residents choose what they list, approve requests, and arrange pickup and return directly. The management company is distributing a resident program, not operating a tool library or rental counter.

What happens if a resident damages or does not return a tool?

Residents lend directly under member-to-member terms that assign responsibility to the borrower. BorrowHive keeps the listing details, agreement record, messages, photos, and timestamps together; it does not own the tool or promise reimbursement.

Can the program stay private to one community?

Yes. Each participating community can use resident eligibility and community-only discovery, while a broader sharing option can be offered where the community chooses it.

Will this replace our management software or resident app?

No. BorrowHive is a focused resident-sharing program. A launch can begin with links, invitations, and roster workflows; deeper portal or identity integrations are scoped when they materially improve rollout.

How is a portfolio program priced?

BorrowHive prepares an annual portfolio proposal based on contracted homes, participating communities, rollout needs, and any requested integrations. The first conversation is a fit and rollout review, not a public rate-card checkout.

What does BorrowHive support?

BorrowHive supports accounts, program access, listings, requests, records, and the software workflow. Residents remain responsible for the physical tools and their direct arrangements with one another.
